Wonderlust

Body & Soul

A little stage of curiosities at Body & Soul, Wonderlust first staged at Body&Soul in June 2012, and was quickly voted the runaway ‘Hit of the Festival’.

2012 - 2018

We dedicated Wonderlust to the mutual exchange of wonder and discovery. We presented creative people, performers and ideas that inspired and that presented new ways of looking and understanding the world. Wonderlust became a lightening rod for provocative conversation, experimentation, little moments of enlightenment and good old-fashioned entertainment.

We wanted to create a home away from home so the spirit of Wonderlust was grounded in connection, intimacy & belonging and our intention was to connect hearts and minds.

The Wonderlust Stage anchored the walled garden area of the festival site and our curated programme included talks, music, DJ sets, podcasts, performance, poetry, meditation, yoga and a compendium of creative experiences that ranged from Sean Nós Singing to Angelus themed aerobics.

By day:

Experiences, stories, conversations and performance that features the people, ideas and current happenings that are animating Irish culture and society right now. Expect participation from people and collectives that are upgrading the system and changing the way change happens.

We have hosted big conversations at Wonderlust with a guest roster of individual contributors that included Goldie, John Grant, Mike Milosh, Donal Dineen, Caroline Casey, David McDermott, Vivienne Dick, Oonagh Kearney, Manchán Magan, Michael Harding, Ailbhe Smyth, Sunny Jacobs, Laura Whitmore, Blindboy Boatclub and many more.

By Night:

Showcases the rich range of pop, soul, folk and electronic sounds from some of the most exciting music artists around right now. Wonderlust was as much about the discovery of the new as it is about catching artists you already know and love.
