resolution
Resolution took place with a live audience at the historic Christchurch Cathedral on New Year’s Day, 2015. This ambitious project was a 90-minute creative exploration of life from people who have met adversity and challenge with courage and compassion. Our intention was to re-imagine the kind of communities, society, systems and culture we could fully participate in together. RESOLUTION featured inspiring talks interspersed with music, comedy, poetry and a large-scale choral spectacle. We gathered some passionate trailblazers from all walks of life to share their personal journey and shine a light on our collective human experience of emotional and mental wellbeing.
Participants included Ivor Browne (Irish psychiatrist, author, former Chief Psychiatrist of the Eastern Health Board, and Professor emeritus of psychiatry at University College Dublin), Joan Freeman (Pieta House), Annemarie Downey (Creative Independent, Health Carer), Niamh Gunn (Social Entrepreneur, Founder of The Well), Eleanor Tiernan (Comedian, Theatre Maker), Dylan Tighe (Theatre Maker, Musician), Caroline McGuigan (Suicide or Survive), Adrienne Murphy (Autism – Mother, Campaigner, Writer), Sean O’Tarpaigh (Psychotherapist, Mindfulness Teacher), Bronagh Gallagher (Singer Actress), Dr. Loren Duffy (Biocognitive Psychologist), Joe Caslin (Artist, Our Nations Sons, Teacher) and musician Bronagh Gallagher with special choral partners The Line Up Choir
