Moon Medicine - a lunar love in. Over the years The Trailblazery events have been the source for all sorts of new ideas but now they have come up with an ancient one...
— The Irish Times, Feb 2018
We all need space to lean into our greatness and empowerment whatever that looks like. Moon Medicine is a place to process, reflect, form bonds and collaborate with other women. Moon Medicine is social as much as spiritual, community is at it’s core. For all the talk about the cosmos, cycles and spiritual awareness the connections drawn from women gathering together may be the most powerful map of them all

Tending the Flame takes place on Feb 07 with host Kathy Scott and guest luminary Carol McInerney {Women’s Wisdom Keeper, Movement Therapist and Dance Teacher and Creator of ‘The Moving Body’} . For many moons, Carol has been creating ritual dance and womb centric practices to nourish and strengthen the female body at potent times of the lunar cycle.

We will gather at St. Kevins Hall, Bloomfield Avenue, Portobello . As we cross the threshold into Imbolc we connect with the powers of the great Creatrix and Craftswoman Brigid. The name Brigid means exalted one, while her earliest Gaelic name, Breo-Saighead, means fiery arrow. We invite you to join us to honour this Celtic Triple Goddess known for her fires of inspiration, hearth and the forge. This Full Moon gathering weaves a range of potent teachings with energy medicine, astro insights, movement, meditation, sound current, music and nourishing self care practices - so we can be guided by heaven and earth.

Investment:

€35 euros : drop-in rate per gathering. Advance booking is recommended as spaces will be limited.

About Carol:

Movement therapist and dance meditation teacher Carol McInerney is passionate about supporting people to connect with their innate wisdom and essential self through reclaiming connection with the body. She offers movement classes, embodiment dance workshops and healing retreats that offer practical resources for daily living in a fast paced and often chaotic world. Her teaching draws from the understanding that as human beings we are part of the living earth and by attuning to its natural cycles and rhythms we can align with our own, and with the cosmic intelligence that creates and supports all of life. She loves to work with the potency of the natural elements, the pathways of the sun and moon and the pauses of equinox and solstice, as moving with Nature helps us to remember who we are, to relax into our knowing and become more accepting of our own unique ways of being in the world.

Her body of work ‘The Moving Body’ has arisen from 18 years of study and training in embodiment, mindful movement and ecstatic dance practices. Working as an accredited counsellor, movement therapist and Open Floor teacher she also draws on her early training in body work and energy healing to support us to embody our physical reality along with those of our heart, mind and soul.

Testimonials:

Kathy Scott has been traveling the world as a passionate student and brave pioneer of practices that bring people into intimate contact with their creativity and power. As a teacher, she beautifully weaves together all that she has gathered into a rich and generous offering. This is a deeply nourishing and powerful brew, especially for women

Annie Ryan, Artistic Director Corn Exchange

Kathy Scott creates an utterly transcendent yoga experience.  I attended her recent Rising Feminine Medicine Yoga Programme and it exceeded any expectations that I might have had on a mental, emotional, energetic and deeply feminine level.  Her classes are packed full of wisdom, kindness, practical yoga asanas and meditative exercises that flowed off the mat with me and seamlessly threaded into my days for the rest of the week.  Kathy elegantly weaves a powerful depth and breath of experience into all of her classes. Such a restorative weekly tonic.  I couldn't recommend her more highly.

Nadine McCarthy Performance Consultant

Kathy Scott is one of a kind. She has a rare and special gift of teaching, her classes are unique, authentic and raw. Kathy has a wealth of knowledge and wisdom and brings together the most beautiful blend to her teachings . She offers unique pearls of women’s wisdom and deep feminine sensuality into all of her classes. Without doubt the most nourishing and beautiful classes I have ever gone to. Thank you Kathy for sharing your gifts.

Michelle Drury, Auriel Yoga Studio

Kathy Scott blazes a new and exciting trail using yoga as a way of expressing her higher purpose in this life. She has the powerful ability to align with Source in a way that allows this magnificent energy to flow in her, for her and through her. This invariably enables you to reach into the very core of your own being accessing the Divine feminine power that lies deep within you. Kathy is an embodiment of that wonderful feminine energy that has the potential to rise within us all.
