“Moon Medicine - a lunar love in. Over the years, The Trailblazery events have been the source for all sorts of new ideas, but now they have come up with an ancient one...”

The Trailblazery presents Moon Medicine – a monthly gathering for women to coincide with the Full Moon cycle of 2025. As we navigate global uncertainty, The Trailblazery hosts a curated series of nourishing online experiences for women who need inspiration, encouragement and connection in these initiatory times.
You are invited to gather online on Monday May 5 at 7pm for a special Moon Medicine gathering, entitled “The Art of Pleasure”.
Our guest luminaries for the evening will be Máire Ní G {founder Feminine Sexual Alchemy & Senior Taoist Instructor} & Karen Egan {Somatic Sexologist & Embodied Consent Facilitator}.
The Art of Pleasure is devoted to Sacred Activism.
In these times of collective unraveling, tending to your own pleasure isn't selfish—it's revolutionary sacred activism
When we live in a culture that profits from our disconnection from body wisdom, reclaiming your pleasure becomes a quiet rebellion. Self-pleasure isn't merely about momentary satisfaction; it's about coming home to yourself, filling your own cup first so you can show up fully for the work that calls you. Each time you honour your body's desires and rhythms, you're casting a vote for the world you wish to co-create—one where embodied wisdom is valued, where the sacred feminine flows unimpeded, where we remember that our bodies are not commodities but living altars. This isn't indulgence; it's the medicine we need to sustain ourselves through the path of reweaving our world.
This May Full Moon is a Flower Moon in Scorpio and will shine at peak illumination on Monday, May 12, 2025. She is in the archetypal sign of Scorpio, one of the most intense and transformative signs in the zodiac. In Taurus Season we focus on earthly pleasures - sensuality and abundance. The Scorpio Full Moon is considered one of the most powerful for releasing, cleansing, and transforming your life. This is because Scorpio rules over death, rebirth, and spiritual transformation. Scorpio and Taurus stand in opposition in the cosmos and on the zodiac wheel. The Taurus-Scorpio axis is known as the axis of life and death and explores the interplay between the desire for security and the transformation of the old to make way for the new.
As the great Wheel of the Year turns we are ripening into Bealtaine season. Here in the northern hemisphere Earth is teeming with aliveness. This is a season of growth and fecundity. We remember that we too are forces of nature alive and potent at this time.
This online event will be hosted by Kathy Scott, Founder of Moon Medicine & The Trailblazery.
Note: If you can’t attend the call live, it will be recorded and sent to you by email within 24 hours.
We have made 3 free tickets available for those who need them. In service of those in greater need, if you are in a position to pay the ticket price, we kindly ask that you do not avail yourself of these free spots.
Kathy Scott shares:
“I am over the moon to invite Máire and Karen to our Moon Medicine community. They are both extraordinary teachers and torch bearers in the fields of sensuality, sexuality and somatic intelligence. I am delighted that they will be joining forces to guide us into the rich territory of desire & pleasure, giving & receiving, and the art of navigating healthy relationship agreements. These practices help us to transform how we show up in connection to ourselves, others and the Earth. It is a great honour to host Máire and Karen at our Moon Medicine Circle. Join us and tell your sisters.”

About Karen
Karen Egan is a Somatic Sexologist and Embodied Consent facilitator who has spent two decades walking alongside folks navigating the tender territories of shame, stigma, trauma, and life transitions. An edgewalker by nature, Karen has devoted her life’s work to tending to thresholds—those powerful liminal spaces where transformation becomes possible. Drawing from a rich tapestry of modalities—Traditional Chinese Medicine, Behavioral Neuroscience, The Work of Byron Katie, and Somatic Sexology—Karen offers a grounded, whole-person approach to healing and integration.
At the heart of Karen's work lies a radical invitation: to welcome home all the parts of ourselves we've been taught to hide away. She creates sacred containers where the unvoiced voices of the body—so often silenced by our busy, disconnected world—can finally be heard in their wisdom. This journey is ultimately about reconnecting people with their inner compass—that instinctive guidance system that knows exactly what we need, even when the noise of the outer world drowns it out.
Time and again, Karen has witnessed the quiet revolution that unfolds when people fully inhabit their bodies, emotions, and sexuality. As they reclaim exiled parts of themselves and learn to trust their inner wisdom, they naturally stand taller in their truth, integrity, and power. From this rooted place, joy and curiosity blossom, deeper connections flourish, and we begin to co-create the kinder communities our hearts know are possible.

About Moon Medicine
Moon Medicine was initiated by The Trailblazery {Hedge School, Census of the Heart, We Need to Talk About Ireland, Rites of Passage} in 2018 in the light of Repeal and the rising momentum of women worldwide speaking out, stepping up and reclaiming their power. Our mission is to help women to remember, embody and reclaim their authentic powerful selves so that together we can rise and lift each other up along the way. In 2019 the Moon Medicine Global Academy was launched - a year-long online training programme for women which expanded our Moon Medicine circle to include women all over the world.
Our live Moon Medicine gatherings weave together a range of feminine teachings blending ancient wisdom with cutting edge developments in the fields of epigenetics, quantum physics and neuroscience. We explore the gifts of the lunar cycle as a map of empowerment for women’s wellbeing. We draw from a deep well to find practices and resources that support women’s self care and the care of this place we call home. To find out more visit TheTrailblazery.com
You will be sent your zoom link on booking your spot for the gathering. Please keep it safe as you will need it to join the event.

Kathy Scott creates an utterly transcendent yoga experience. I attended her recent Rising Feminine Medicine Yoga Programme and it exceeded any expectations that I might have had on a mental, emotional, energetic and deeply feminine level. Her classes are packed full of wisdom, kindness, practical yoga asanas and meditative exercises that flowed off the mat with me and seamlessly threaded into my days for the rest of the week. Kathy elegantly weaves a powerful depth and breath of experience into all of her classes. Such a restorative weekly tonic. I couldn't recommend her more highly.
